one of my favorite things about cm3's writing has always been (and probably will always be) his ability to write a convincing setting. whether it's a dystopia, an alternate universe, or even something somewhat contemporary, he has a way of making things come to life through simple descriptions. he can make you feel the world all around you without wasting 3 or 4 paragraphs on mind-numbing prose about insignificant details. this story was definitely no exception to that:
the haunted vagina was actually fairly gross from time to time, which made perfect sense, all things considered. it was also pretty goddamn claustrophobic.
cm3's female characters are always so damn
likable to me (although i'm not sure what that says about me as a person) and i swooned almost non-stop over fig, even just from the art of her on the cover. this story was... odd, for lack of a better word, but i loved it. who am i kidding though? i kind of love everything cm3 writes.
if you like weird settings, vague claustrophobia, cutesy wutesy girls, and an awkward amount of baking soda references, this is definitely for you.
