this book is absolutely beautiful. there's an aching in every sentence that really clings, but not in a bad way. i've struggled with depression and suicidal thoughts/attempts for years, and this book was almost like a call home for me: seeing the effects a death has on friends, family, strangers. every person on the planet matters, to some more than others, and this is a beautiful display of that.
i found myself praying that it was a bad dream or a joke or something supernatural, something reversible, and that's a powerful thing for a book to invoke, especially in me.
this is something that everyone needs to read - everyone. it's a beautiful and realistic, heartbreaking/heart warming (trust me it's both) tale of friendship, family, and love.
